I saw your tear drops fall
I heard you cry my name
Mommy I love you                                                                                                                          As I released you from your pain

I watched as you lay in your bed
fearful of the end
I heard your whispered words
as you prayed for release from pain

every day for you was painful
each breath, each step you took
but filled with sadness I knew
your life was at an end

I held you with all my love
as I always used to do                                                                                                                     it was hard to see you in such pain                                                                                              as life slowly ebbed out of you

although our lives journeys
have bid us to be apart
I am with you, you are with me
you are always in my heart                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Love always
